FOUR WAY TEST

Of all the things we think, say or do:

  • Is it the TRUTH?
  • Is it FAIR to all concerned?
  • Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  • Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

One of the such projects Jared is speaking of is the Bithlo Service project where our club has helped to improve the living situations of those less fortunate than ourselves by building staircases and completing other odd jobs.

Bithlo Service ProjectAccording to Sarah Wilson of the East Orlando Sun:

The help Lois has received in meeting her basic
needs covers just one of the seven aspects Tim
McKinney and United Global Outreach are focusing on in helping the people of Bithlo. Still on the list: transportation, education, environmental issues, healthcare and building a sense of community.

“We think if we can stabilize those seven areas then we’ll be on track to break this generational poverty out here,” McKinney said.

To do so, McKinney is trying to bring the plight of Bithlo to the attention of as many Central Florida residents and organizations as possible.

"Helping Lois, just as in helping the Bithlo community as a whole", McKinney says, "is a step-by-step process."

“As we identify families or individuals that need that extra hand up, or are ready to take that next step in the transformation process, then we get a team out to go assist them and work along side them,” he said. “If we get someone like Lois that’s not physically capable of handing these things on her own we can come in and help her.”
