		Message from the President
		*Tom Beanland, 2011-2012 President* August is Membership month. We have a really good membership committee led by Jared Morgan. Membership is every member's responsibility, so let's all step up to the plate and give our assistance this year. We are already off to a good start and have two potential members who are interested in contributing to the community through our Rotary Club. Membership is a very big part of qualifying for the Presidential Citation for the club. The last couple of meetings have not demonstrated a strong attendance. Since school is out for the summer, quite a few members are off on vacation. Those who are unable to make a meeting due to this or any other reason please take advantage of the convenience of online make-ups at rotaryeclubone.org. We may be small in numbers, but we do a great job of helping in our community. With all of our participation, we will have another good year. Thanks to each and every one of you for being great Rotarians and putting service above self. We appreciate all you do to "Embrace Humanity."
	What would it take to change the world? Rotary International is the world's first service club organization, with more than 1.2 million members in 33,000 clubs worldwide. Rotary club members are volunteers who work locally, regionally, and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training, promote peace, and eradicate polio under the motto Service Above Self.
